The Stoakoglhuette on the Sommeralm (parking lot for the bus) is the starting point. With a nice walking tour to the top of the Plankogel (extent of approx. 1 hour) you go to the energy place Sommeralm with the large windpower plant. We talk about the functions of the windpower plant, how much power can be produceed, as well as aspects about environment and sustainability.

 

You can also visit the biomass plant of St. Kathrein (980kW) or the biomass plant at Brandluckn (500kW). St. Kathrein offers additionally a small scale water plant (19 kW).

Option for a additional program: Moorland way, the entrance to the moorland way is directly beside the Teichalmsee. This is one of the last "Latschenhochmoore" in Austria with the rare animal and plant world. Along the way a observation tower was established. The Moorland way is free of charge.
