Waterpower

Waterpower

Due to the geographic conditions Austria can produce a great part of power requirement by water power. In hydroelectric power plants (diverted flow power stations, storage power stations and tidal plants are distinguished) the energy of the water flow is transformed by water turbines into rotational energy and finally over generators into electricity. Austria has the natural possibilities to use diverted flow power stations and storage power stations.

Our Slovenian partners rebuilt the old "Izacovci mill" and now they use it again to mill corn.

In comparison: With the enormous stores of our planets' water the moon could be filled approx. 60 times. This enormous quantity of water is due to the irradiated sun power in a constant cycle.

We show you, how clean energy can be won.
