Biogas

 

5 districts „of the energy region Oststeiermark “- in the special Radkersburg and Feldbach - have European-wide the highest density of biogas plants. At the moment 26 plants are operating (04/2006). It is possible to cover the whole demand of energy (heat and electricity) in the region with renewables and biogene waste materials. One vision for the future is to use biogas for mobility too. The first pilot plant is on the way of realisation.
